- World Hypertension Day (WHD) is Observed on 17 May every year. This day designated and initiated by The World Hypertension League (WHL).
- The WHL launched its first World Hypertension Day on 14th May 2005. Since 2006, the WHL has been dedicating 17th May of every year as WHD.
- The WHD 2019 Theme "Know Your Numbers" with a goal of increasing high blood pressure awareness around the world.
