- The PM Modi Government has now mandated all Electric Vehicles to use the green number plates, irrespective of the year in which they were bought.
- The private EVs will get White and commercial EVs will get Yellow lettering on Green background.
- The aim is to help distinguish Green Vehicles to provide easy identification for preferential treatment in parking, free entry in congested zones besides other proposed benefits like a concessional toll.
