Airtel Payments Bank on 24th May appointed Anubrata Biswas as its Managing Director(MD) and Chief Executive Officer(CEO). He fills the position, which was lying vacant since end-December. Mr. Biswas has experience of more than 17 years in the banking sector.
Prior to joining Airtel Payments Bank, he was the joint general manager and retail business head in South India for ICICI Bank. Airtel Payments Bank's former Shashi Arora quit the company in December 2017 following the e-KYC controversy.
