1. Eugene Peterson of Russia came to India on 12 May 1927,  impressed by yoga. When she reached in India she kept her name, Indra Devi. Eugene was the first foreign woman to become the student of Tirumalai Krishnamacharya, who was the famous master of Yoga.
2. The Constable of Railway Protection Force, Shri Shivaji has been honored with Railway Minister's Medal.
3. The United States has announced the economic sanctions and ban on Iran, because of the six people of Iran who have allegedly been associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

7. The International Labor Organization (ILO) released its annual flagship report on May 14, 2018, entitled "World Employment and Social Outlook 2018: Greening with Jobs". According to the ILO report, by 2022, 300,000 workers will be involved in the solar and wind energy sectors to fulfill India's task of producing 175 gigawatts of electricity from renewable sources.
8. "Rythu Bandhu" scheme has been started in Telangana. This scheme is an investment support scheme to support the livelihood of the farmers. Under this scheme, financial assistance will be provided twice a year to maximize agricultural production and productivity.
9. The flag of India's largest national flag has been hoisted in Hyderabad city of Telangana state of India. This flag is 122 feet long and 183 meters wide. The weight of this flag was 24 tons.
10. The highest award of India is Bharat Ratna.

14. Smriti Irani has been freed from the post of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. This is the fourth reshuffle in Modi cabinet over the past four years. There was a change in the Cabinet on 3 September 2017.
