India and Peru signed an agreement on renewable energy cooperation in Lima on May 11, 2018. The pact was signed in the presence of Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Cesar Villanueva Arevalo. In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru organized a special program in Lima, dedicated to 55-year diplomatic relations with India. Peru is one of the founders of the International Solar Alliance (ISA), created with the initiative of India.
