United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is extremely worried by the decision of US President Donald Trump to exit the nuclear deal in 2015. In addition to expressing his concern, he has called upon all other nations to support this agreement.
Trump announces the withdrawal of agreement in the White House on Tuesday and signed a memorandum to restore Iran's "highest level" economic sanctions. In a statement issued shortly after the announcement, Guterres said that he was "extremely worried" by the announcement of the separation from Trump's Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and the restoration of sanctions on Iran.
