9. The World Health Organization was established on 7th April 1948. The day of its establishment is also celebrated as World Health Day. The objective of this organization is to raise the level of health of people across the world. The WHO headquarters is located in Geneva city of Switzerland. At the time of the establishment of WHO, all 61 member states of the United Nations had agreed. At present, 194 countries are members of the World Health Organization.
