Each year on 21st March International Day of Forests is celebrated across the globe to raise awareness of the importance of all types of forests.
The theme for the 2020 International Day of Forests is 'Forests and Biodiversity'.
The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) had designated 21st March as the International Day of Forests.
This global celebration of forests provides a platform to celebrate and raise awareness of the importance of all types of forests, trees outside forests, and celebrate the ways in which they sustain and protect us.
