Country's 1st culinary arts museum 'WGSHA' entered in Limca Book


  • The Country's 1st culinary arts museum founded by Chef Vikas Khanna in Welcome Group Graduate School of Hotel Management (WGSHA) at Manipal, Karnataka entered in Limca Book of Records.
  • Culinary Arts Museum,
    - The museum was opened in April 2018 and is spread over 25,000 sq ft. Its shape is just like a giant pot found in Harappa.
    - The Museum consists of
    i) Plates made by the Portuguese in India,
    ii) Old seed sprinkler,
    iii) A 100-year-old ladle used to dole out food at temples and bowls dating to the Harappan era.
    iv) Ancient Kashmiri tea brewer 'Samovar', etc.
  • About Limca Book of Records,
    - Limca Book of Records was launched in India in 1990. It is an annual reference book in English for documenting human and natural world records.
    - It is the second book of records in the world after the Guinness Book of World Records.
