- She was born on 27th July 1934 at Mallabad village of Kalaburagi district in Karnataka. Her parents were Buggappa and Ashamma.
- Since childhood, She started practicing yoga & dhyana and did not show any interest in married life.
- And, she had established around 108 ashramas in various states of India including Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Telangana.
