- The above book is a collection of 25 innovative initiatives taken at the state and district levels under the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme.
- It captures the convergent approach adopted at the grass-root level.
- It also provides insight into the unique manner of community engagement by the District Administration and front-line workers.
- About Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme,
- This scheme was launched by PM Narendra Modi on 22nd January 2015 at Panipat, Haryana.
- The main objective of this program is to address the declining Child Sex Ratio (CSR) and the related issues of the Empowerment of Women.
- The Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme was started by the Departments of Women & Child Development (WCD), Human Resource Development (HRD), and Health & Family Welfare (H&FW).
