Janez Jansa elected as 5th Prime Minister of Slovenia


  • Mr. Janez Jansa (age 61 years) elected as the 5th Prime Minister of Slovenia. Since 1993, he has been the leader of the Slovenian Democratic Party (SDP).
  • Prior to this, he was the Prime Minister of Slovenia from 2004-08 and again from 2012-13.
    In the 2020 Slovenian Prime Minister election, he replaces Marjan Sarec, who had resigned from his post in January 2020.
