- The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Ajay Bhushan Pandey as a new Finance Secretary of India. He is a 1984 batch IAS officer belonging to the Maharashtra cadre.
- He was a former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the nodal agency of the Government of India responsible for implementing Aadhaar.
