- Current Affairs 27th March 2019. The World Theatre Day (WTD) has been observed on 27th March 2019 every year to raise awareness about the importance of theatre arts.
- It was initiated in 1961 by an international non-governmental organization International Theatre Institute (ITI), France.
- The theme of WTD for this year is "Theatre and a Culture of Peace".
