Pramod Sawant appointed as new Chief Minister of Goa

Current Affairs 19th March 2019. Former Speaker of Goa legislative assembly and BJP leader Pramod Sawant (age 46 years) has been appointed as new Chief Minister of Goa.
Mridula Sinha (Governor of Goa) administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mr. Pramod Sawant.
Mr. Sawant succeeding Manohar Parrikar, who died on Sunday (17th March 2019) after a prolonged battle with advanced pancreatic cancer.
