World Kidney Day being observed on 14 March

Current Affairs 14th March 2019. World Kidney Day is observed annually on the 2nd Thursday in March.
It's objective to create awareness on the importance of the kidneys and reducing the frequency and impact of kidney disease.
The theme this year is 'Kidney Health for Everyone Everywhere' which calls for universal health coverage for prevention and early treatment of kidney disease.
