The Integrated Scheme for the Development of the Silk Industry has been Approved by CCEA


The central government made a big step in making India self-sufficient in the production of silk. The decisions taken by the Cabinet will lead to the creation of the first-ever inter-ministerial group to promote R & D and technology transfer in the silk sector with Rs 1,000 rupees. The Cabinet of Ministers' Committee on Economic Affairs approved the Integrated Scheme for the Development of the Silk Industry for the next three years from 2017 to 2020.
