Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ambitious plan has approved the National Health Protection Scheme i.e. Ayushman India on Wednesday evening by the central cabinet. This plan was announced by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in the General Budget this year. This plan is also called ModiCare.
Under this scheme, every family will get health insurance up to Rs 5 lakh. There is no maximum limit on the number of family members. It will be decided on the basis of which families will come under this scheme.
