Air India is facing a dilemma of Rs 325 crores facing financial constraints. It is related to the services of VVIP chartered planes for outstanding countries. In response to the Right to Information (RTI), Air India has given details of outstanding bills to various ministries in connection with the service of VVIP visits.
Chartered planes are used for foreign visits of VVIPs such as President, Vice President, and Prime Minister. These aircraft are provided by Air India. The outstanding amount of Air India is on the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of External Affairs, Prime Minister's Office, and the Cabinet Secretariat.
