Pooja Vastrakar, the fast bowler of the Indian women's team, has taken the world record for himself. The 18-year-old Pooja did a great job while bowling, but not batting. In the first ODI of the series against Australia in Vadodara, Pooja played a pivotal role in helping India reach an innings of 200 runs by playing half-century.
Pooja, who played just the second ODI, scored 51 runs while batting at number 9. This is the first time in the 45-year history of women's ODI when a batsman scored a half-century on 9th order. Earlier, batting at 9th position, New Zealand's Lucy Dulan scored 48 runs against England in 2009.
