The government of Sri Lanka has decided to release the remaining 20 Indian fishermen in custody for accusations of poaching in the waters of Sri Lanka. This will be the first time in recent years when no Indian fisherman will remain in Sri Lanka's prison. Fishermen from India and Sri Lanka are often detained for illegal fishing in each other's territorial waters, since the Arabian Sea has no clearly defined maritime boundary, and wooden boats lack the technology to avoid drift.
