- The 3rd Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel (age 58 years) has launched the Godhan Nyay Yojana through video conferencing to promote animal husbandry and make it a profitable practice.
- Highlights,
- Under this scheme, it will make animal husbandry commercially profitable, prevent open grazing by cattle, and solve the problem of stray animals on roads and for environmental conservation.
- It will also procure cow dung from Livestock owners on the fixed rate which will be used for vermicompost production to meet the fertilizer requirement of farmers.
