- President Shri R. N. Kovind has appointed the Anandiben Patel as Governor of Madhya Pradesh. She will handle the additional charge of Governor of MP during the absence of Lal Ji Tandon.

- She was a member of the BJP since 1987.
- She became the Governor of MP on 19th January 2018 and replacing Om Prakash Kohli who was holding additional charge since September 2016.
- Currently, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh is Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Chief Justice is Justice A. K. Mittal.
