- Indian economist Urjit Patel (age 56 years) has been appointed as the Chairman of the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP). He will replace Vijay Kelkar. Prior to this, Urjit Patel had served as the 24th Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) from 4th September 2016 to 10th December 2018.
