Viral Acharya resigns as Deputy Governor of RBI

Viral Acharya (age 45 years) Deputy Governor of RBI has resigned from his post, 6-months before end of his term.
On 28th Dec 2016, Central Govt was appointed Viral V. Acharya as Deputy Governor of RBI for a period of 3-years.
Mr. Acharya also served as a member of the advisory council of the RBI Academy.
After this resignation, RBI has now 3 Deputy Governors - N.S. Vishwanathan, B.P. Kanungo and M.K. Jain.
