- The United Nations Public Service Day is observed globally on 23rd June every year to celebrate the value and virtue of public service to the community.
- The day was designated by the UNGA's resolution A/RES/57/277 of 2003.
- The UNPS Day highlights the contribution of public service in the development process; recognizes the work of public servants, and encourages young people to pursue careers in the public sector.
