Admiral Karambir Singh Pledge As New Chief Of Navy Staff

Admiral Karambir Singh (age 59 years) appointed as the new chief of Navy Staff.
He succeeds Admiral Sunil Lanba (age 61 years), who retired on 31st of May after 4-decades of service (1st January 1978 to 31st May 2019) in the Indian Navy.
Lanba served as the 23rd Chief of Naval Staff, and Karambir Singh is the 24th and current Chief of the Naval Staff of the Indian Navy.
Before this appointment, Admiral Karambir Singh served as the Vice Chief of the Naval Staff and Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of India's Eastern Naval Command.
