Sonia Gandhi re-elected as leader of Congress Parliamentary Party

Former President of the Indian National Congress Sonia Gandhi (age 72 years) once again elected as leader of Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP).
The meeting was attended by newly elected Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members of Congress party.
Former PM Manmohan Singh suggests the Sonia Gandhi name and seconded by Jharkhand & Kerala MP Jothimani S and K Sudhakaran.
Sonia Gandhi represents the Rae Bareli in Lok Sabha election. In 2019 general assembly election Gandhi wins from the Rae Bareli with 5,34,918 votes.
