The Central Water Commission (CWC), the technical organization of India in the field of water resources, signed a cooperation agreement with Google for flood forecasting.
According to the Minister of the Union of Water Resources, the development of rivers and the rejuvenation of Ganga Nitin Gadkari, cooperation with Google will help in the effective management of floods in India. Using its high-resolution digital resolution (DEM) model, Google will help create flood maps with predictable CWC inputs.
