E-challan (Automatic Challan System) Started in Haryana


The cases of rising corruption in Haryana's RTA offices have raised the ears of the government. E-challan will now be arranged after the removal of 22 RTAs simultaneously on complaints of disturbances in the recovery of 40 crore every year in the state. Apart from this, the traffic breakers will also be kept in the record.

The location and timing will also be digitally registered on the invoice. Its data will also be integrated with the vehicle and the Sarathi web portal, so that the traffic policemen or employees of Transport Department can not manipulate in the invoicing.

Electronic machines are being provided to field staff. Cashless payment facility will also be available in these machines to fill the penalty amount on the spot i.e. the penalty amount can also be paid by swiping a debit or credit card. Under the e-challan, the drivers who violate the traffic rules will be e-invoiced through the CCTV cameras installed on the intersections.
