Union Minister Smriti Irani is another setback. In fact, she has been discharged from the post of Special Invited Member in the Policy Commission. Smriti Irani was a member of the Policy Commission when the Human Resource Development Minister was formed. In spite of her changed the ministry, her post of special invited member was retained in the Policy Commission.
Prakash Javadekar has been invited for this post in place of Smriti Irani. Interestingly, Prakash Javadekar is also the Minister for Human Resource Development at present. Apart from this, Rao Inderjit Singh has been appointed as a former member of the Policy Commission. This decision has been taken at a time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to meet the governing council on June 17.
