Govt Launches 'Krishi Kalyan Abhiyaan' To Help Farmers


The Government has announced the launch of 'Krishi Kalyan Abhiyaan', whereby farmers of selected villages will be given assistance and advice on ways to improve farming techniques and increase their income. With the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to double the income of farmers by 2022, the Ministry of Agriculture has started the Agricultural Welfare Campaign from June 1 to 31, 2018.

The Krishi kalyan Abhiyaan will be undertaken in 25 Villages with more than 1000 population each in Aspirational Districts identified in consultation with Ministry of Rural Development as per directions of NITI Ayog. The overall coordination and implementation in the 25 villages of a district is being done by Krishi Vigyan Kendra of that district. 111 officers have also been made in-charge of one district each for overall coordination and field level monitoring.
