In the absence of initial bids in Air India stake sale process, the Congress ridiculed the BJP-led government and said that the present government should give funding for the company's reconstruction.
Manish said, "The NDA / BJP's attempt to sell Air India's worth of Rs 5 lakh crore to the close friends has collapsed. There was not a single quote. Why not, the government would hand it over to the Employees Cooperative Committee instead of the other." Meanwhile, Mumbai Congress chief Sanjay Nirupam congratulated the airline staff and said that his fight brought color.
