Renowned cricketer Everton Weekes passed away at 95


  • Renowned West Indies cricketer Everton Weekes passed away at the age of 95 due to a heart attack in Barbados. He was born on 26th February 1925 in Pickwick Gap, Barbados. As a cricketer, he started his career as ODI at 19-year-old and his Test debut at 22-year-old in 1948.
  • In First Class,
    - He played 152 first-class matches and made 12,010 runs with an average of 55.34.
  • In Test,
    - He played 48 test matches and made 4,455 runs with an average of 58.61.
  • List of Awards She was Received:
    - Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE).
    - Barbados Gold Crown of Merit (GCM).
    - Knight of the Order of St Michael and St George (KCMG) in 1995.
    - ICC Hall of Fame in 2009, etc.
