  • 15-years-old Prithu Gupta becomes India’s 64th Grandmaster after defeating Lev Yankelevich in the 5th round of the Portuguese League 2019.
  • In 2018, Prithu Gupta had received his 1st Grandmaster title at the Gibraltar Masters.
  • Grandmaster (GM) is a title awarded to chess players by the World Chess Organization FIDE. Apart from World Champion, Grandmaster is the highest title.
  • The Federation Internationale des Echecs or World Chess Federation is an international organization.
