Best Innovation Award won by Northeast Frontier Railway

Northeast Frontier Railway (NEFR) won the Best Innovation Award for unique strategy adopted to keep elephants away from the train tracks.
The Innovation Promotion Group was constituted to interact with national and International Railway Organisations, industries, universities, institutes of repute, Railwaymen, Railway customers and citizens to promote innovations.
Under this scheme, Board constituted a committee and had approved the following upper limits of awards to be given away at Railway Board level to the best innovations implemented in Indian Railways:-
i) Best Innovation:- Rs.3,00,000/-
ii) Second Best Innovation:- Rs.2,00,000/-
iii) Third Best Innovation:- Rs.1,00,000/-
