India win 8-Gold, 3-Silver & 2-Bronze Medals in Commonwealth Weightlifting Championship

India won 13 medals in the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championship held in Apia, Capital of Samoa.
The 13 medals include 8-Gold, 3-Silver & 2-Bronze. Former world champion Mirabai Chanu (age 24 years) wins the Gold Medal in the senior women's 49kg class category in the Olympic qualifying event.
Jhilli Dalabehra lift of 154 kg in the senior women's 45 kg event and secured the first place.
In the Senior Women's 55 kg category, Soroikhaibam Bindyarani Devi won the Gold while Matsa Santoshi won the Silver Medal.
In the Senior Men's 55kg category, Rishikanta Singh won the Gold Medal.
