India contributes USD 5,000,000 in 2009 to UN Palestine Refugee Agency


  • India contributes USD 5,000,000 in 2009 to UN Palestine Refugee Agency.
  • Indian Government has pledged to contribute USD 5,000,000 in 2019 to the United Nation (UN) Palestine refugee agency.
    The Govt of India is assisting 150 Palestinian every year under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Programme.

    About UNRWA
    The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) was formed in 8th December 1949 (69 years ago).
    It is the relief and human development agency which supports more than 5,000,000 registered Palestinian refugees.
