- During the 71st Republic Day Parade, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh (age 68 years) presented the Best Tableau Awards.
i) First prize won by Assam Tableau,
ii) While Odisha & Uttar Pradesh who were tied for the second position.
- Odisha's tableau showcases the Lord Lingaraja's Rukuna Rath Yatra, Whereas the UP tableau was showcased the Cultural and Religious Heritage of state.
- The NDRF & Jal Shakti Mission tableaux were chosen as the Best among the Ministries and Departments.
- Besides, The Central Public Works Department (CPWD) got a special Prize. His tableau was based on the theme of Kashmir Se Kanyakumari.
