UP celebrated its 70th foundation day on 24th January


  • Today, The Uttar Pradesh state celebrated its 70th foundation day. It is the most populous state in India, divided into 18 divisions and 75 districts.
  • It was created on 1st April 1937 as the United Provinces of Agra and Oudh during British Rule and after that, it was renamed as Uttar Pradesh in 1950.
