Dr. MS Swaminathan & G. Muniratnam wins Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu National Awards

Noted Indian geneticist Dr. M. S. Swaminathan (age 94 years) and popular social worker, Dr. Gutta Muniratnam were respectively awarded the Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu National Award for Excellence & Muppavarapu National Award for Social Service.
The award was instituted by the Muppavarapu Foundation (Award for Excellence) and the award for Social Service was launched by the Swarna Bharat Trust.
The above two awards were announced at the 10th Anniversary Celebrations of Muppavarapu Foundation and Sankranthi Sambaralu organized in Hyderabad, Telangana.
