In Gujarat, KVIC opened its first Silk processing plant at Surendranagar

Today, the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) opened its first Silk processing plant at Surendranagar in Gujarat.
The main objective of this plant is to make silk readily available to Patola Saree manufacturers to boost its production.
It will also help to cut down the cost of production of silk yarn and increase the availability of raw material used in production.
