- Today, Shaktikanta Das (25th Governor of RBI) launched the 'MANI' mobile app for visually challenged persons to identify the denomination of the new currency notes.
- MANI Full Form - Mobile Aided Note Identifier. It is available on Google Play Store and iOS Store for Android and iPhone devices without any charges.
- The app is capable of identifying the denominations of currency notes by checking front or reverse side or part of the note including half folded notes at various holding angles and a broad range of light conditions (normal light/ daylight/ low light, etc.).
