- On 17th February 2020, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi unveiled the 13th Conference of Parties (COP) of the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, Gujarat via Video Conferencing.
- The theme slogan for this Conference is 'Migratory species connect the planet and we welcome them home'.
- Speaking on the occasion PM Modi said that India has been championing climate action based on values of conservation, sustainable lifestyle and green development model.
