- On 10th February 2020, The National Deworming Day have observed throughout the country.
- On the occasion, Children in the age group of 1to 19 years will be administered a single dose of a safe medicine Albendazole in all Indian States and UT.
- The main objective of this day is to deworm children and adolescents to reduce the prevalence of parasitic worms in the intestine. It ensures that the worms are no longer a public health problem.
