Sambo Lapung created New Record of 188 kg in National Weightlifting Championships

Weightlifter Sambo Lapung from Arunachal Pradesh creates a new record of 188 kg in clean and jerk event in the National Weightlifting Championships. The previous national record of clean and jerk was 187 kg.
He has also won the Gold medal in the Men’s 89 kg category of the National Weightlifting Championships held in Kolkata.
In another event, Rakhi Halder has won the Gold in the Women's 64 kg category.
