- The 19th Chief Minister of Karnataka Shri B. S. Yediyurappa (age 76 years) has launched a scheme Jana-Sevaka to provide government services at the doorstep to every household.
- The main objective of this scheme is to ensure the timely delivery of government services to the people of Karnataka with the help of innovative and efficient management systems.
- The Jana-Sevaka scheme includes Senior Citizen ID, Health Card, Ration Cards, etc.
