- The 1st Chief Minister of Telangana K. Chandrasekhar Rao (age 65 years) inaugurated the 11-km stretch of corridor-II of elevated Hyderabad Metro Rail.
- The stretch starts from Jubilee Bus Station in Secunderabad and joins at Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station.
- Subsequently, 2-more stretches of Metro Rail services between Ameerpet and Hi-Tec City and also between Hitech City and Raidurg were inaugurated.
- Under PPP mode, Hyderabad Metro is the 2nd largest metro service after Delhi Metro in India.
