- Former Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court; Justice Uma Nath Singh takes oath as First Lokayukta of Nagaland.
- Governor of Nagaland Shri Padmanabha Acharya administered the oath to him at Raj Bhavan in Kohima.
- He will hold the office for a term of 5 years or till, the age of 70 years.
