Harsh Vardhan Shringla selected as new Foreign Secretary of India

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) led by Prime Minister Modi has approved the appointment of Harsh Vardhan Shringla as the 33rd Foreign Secretary of India.
He will replace Vijay Gokhale, whose service will be completed on 28th January 2020.
Currently, He working as the Indian Ambassador to the United States (US).
During 2014-16, He served as Indian Ambassador to Thailand and after-that served as the Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh for a period of 2-years.
